2 Years Warranty
It is important to be sure that your stairlift supplier understands the need to look after your stairlift after it is installed. In Australia, the service stairlift users have experienced is mixed at best.
At Ideal Stairlifts, many years of experience in working with tens of thousands of customers here in Australia, and around the world, ensures we have a detailed understanding of this need. We are committed to addressing any scheduled servicing or unexpected repairs that may crop up from time to time, promptly and efficiently.
Such is our confidence in the Stair lifts we supply, that each stairlift is supplied to you complete with a 2 year comprehensive warranty at no extra cost to you.
Many stairlift suppliers will only offer you a 12 month warranty, or perhaps offer longer periods providing you purchase a service agreement. The Ideal Stairlifts 2 Year Service Advantage comes at no extra cost to you.
What’s Included
Your 2 year warranty covers all call-outs, parts and labour for any design, manufacture or installation related matter arising from normal use of your stairlift.
We also believe that prevention is better than cure, and so each year during the warranty period, we will arrange to come and give your stairlift a routine service. During the service we will check the stairlift over thoroughly, clean and lubricate, and check the power packs and drive system to ensure continued reliability.
Of course, our commitment to you doesn’t end then, and we will be available to respond to any service and repair requests for as long as you need us.
Both the manufacturer, and the Australian Standard AS1735 part 7, require that a stairlift is serviced by a competent technician on an annual basis. Making sure that this is done can, in many cases, avoid the need for costly repairs and to help you with this, we will send a service reminder to you each year at the appropriate time.
What’s Not Included
As with anything, in the unlikely event that your stairlift is misused, or damage occurs that is not related to the manufacture or installation, then this would not be covered under warranty. We will, of course, still be there to help and restore your stairlift to full working order, but you could expect a modest charge in these circumstances.
Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law (ACL)
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You are entitled to a replacement or a refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Our warranty provides some benefits which are additional to your rights under the ACL, however some of the benefits may overlap with your ACL rights.
